helping hands
Hometown Helping Hand is a program implemented by the Board of Light & Power to make additional funds available in assisting needy families in the Grand Haven area in paying past due electric bills.
The Board of Light & Power is donating a portion of the revenue generated from its door tag disconnect notice program. You can help too by making a tax deductible one time contribution or monthly contribution that can be added to your electric bill as a separate line item each month.
Funds will be held by the Board of Light & Power for distribution through the Salvation Army’s assistance program. 100% of funds collected will go to this assistance program.
For a one time donation simply include a separate check with your utility bill stub marked for Hometown Helping Hand.
