GRAND HAVEN, MICH., December 23, 2025 – The Grand Haven BLP has announced the winners of this year’s Holiday Lighting Contest. Judging the contest were BLP electrical workers Stefan, Dave, and Caden, who evaluated each display for creativity, spirit, and presentation.
The “Griswold Award” – presented to the most over-the-top, “possibly seen from space” lighting display – went to 18088 Wildwood Court. Highlights include a Christmas tree on the roof, an extra-large inflatable Santa Claus and Snowman, too many lit candy canes to count, another Santa climbing up the streetlight post, a tunnel of lights over the driveway, and many other decorations.
The “Classic Award” – honoring the most elegantly designed display that perfectly captures the holiday spirit – went to 15520 160th Ave. The judges said the stunning setup looked as if it “jumped straight off the front of a Hallmark card.”
Winners received $150 in Chamber Dune Dollars to spend locally and a sign to proudly display in the front yard.
“Last year, we were thrilled by the overwhelmingly positive feedback. These festive and spirited holiday lighting displays truly brighten our community and bring people together during the holiday season. Every entry was outstanding, and we are excited to celebrate and congratulate the winners in each category,” said Mike Westbrook, BLP board chair.
Rob Shelley, general manager, shared, “We’d like to thank everyone who decorated this year for bringing extra holiday cheer and for sharing it with our community by taking part in the contest. We had a great time with it and hope everyone enjoys driving around and seeing all the beautiful displays.”
